Dancing and Cruising!
Last week I took my 15 year old son on a Carnival Cruise. We had a
wonderful time, but there was something missing.............
I suppose, only a fellow dance fanatic like me, would understand
this, but here goes........I missed dancing!!! I could not believe,
with 3500 passengers aboard the cruise ship, that I could not find
one other person to Waltz around the many dance floors on the ship
with! The Carnival Cruise Line provided wonderful dance music and
beautiful dance floors, but no dancers. The floors were all empty!
Of course, there was the usual bumping and grinding in the disco,
but not a single person that could East or West Coast Swing, Cha
Cha or Foxtrot. By the second evening I could not stand it any
So what does one do? Just start dancing!
Girls, once you have become proficient dancers, you can get the
guys begging you to back lead them around the dance floor.
And guys........if you are ever on a cruise and know how to dance, you
will become a Star! Girls will flock to you like crazy asking you
to twirl and dip them around the dance floor.
You see, dance is universal; it crosses over all language barriers
and allows people the opportunity to communicate with each other,
even when you are only on a ship for only 7 short nights! Not only
will you make new friends, you will have a ball. Another huge bonus
is the fact that you will have introduced many people that might
have otherwise never danced, into a world filled with happiness and
This theory applies anywhere there is music, so don't limit your
self to a cruise ship.
Don't forget, learning to dance is difficult, but be sure and
Remember, the benefits far out weigh the effort!
PS I will be working on putting together a dance cruise for anyone
that is interested
